FIRST EDITION. The complete expedition report according to the official sources. The expedition was under the direction of Graf. F.A. zu Eulenburg and led from Singapore via Bangkok, Indonesia, Hong Kong and China to Japan. The expedition was provided with three warships from the Prussian East Asian Squadron, the SMS Arcona, the SMS Thetis and the SMS Frauenlob which were accompanied by the transport ship Elbe. – The maps are mounted on linen (original). A large atlas with landscapes was sold separately, it is not added in our copy (as usual). – Some browning and foxing. – A very good copy.
