Meggendorfer’s last movable picture book

FIRST EDITION. It’s the last of the 28 movable picture books by Meggendorfer and it’s also one of the rarest ones. The poems describing each plate are captioned: Der Hausherr (The landlord), Fritzchen (Fritzchen), Die Äpfel (apples), Hansl (Hansl), Der Violonist (The violonist), Die Tante (The aunt), Am Telefon (At the telephone) and Der Abschied (The farewell). There exist an Italian edition under the name Pupazi vivi a allegri. In remarkable, unrestored, very good condition. A beautiful example of a very rare Meggendorfer title.
