159 anonymous watercolor drawings from c. 1830, mostly after works by Jean Baptiste Francois Bulliard, (1742-1793) – „Herbier de la France“ (1780-1793) and „Histoire des champignons de la France“ (1791).
Size of the sheets: c. 31 x 24 cm. The drawings are bound together between two boards and tied with a lace.
Out of the 159 drawings, drawings 1-127 are, with just a few exceptions, all described unter the drawing with the fungi’s scientifical and common names (in French). The table of contents included only lists 126 drawings, the remaining 33 are not listed, but they are included – the table of contents remains unfinished. For some of the drawings there is a note on the verso describing the natural habitat of the fungi and providing some other botanical information.
It lists fungi from the following families: Agaricus, Boletaceae, Morchellaceae, Clavaria, Lycoperdon, Hypophillum, Amanita, Hydnum, Peziza.
The covers somewhat rubbed and bumped, the drawings themselves in very good condition.
Large collection of beautifully executed and scientifically accurate botanical drawings from the first half of the 19th century. Made, with slight variations, after illustrations by one of the most renowned French botanists – Pierre Buillard, and possibly after other sources as well.

Von den Zeichnungen 1-127 haben bis auf wenige Ausnahmen alle unterhalb der Zeichnung den wissenschaftlichen und gebräuchlichen Namen der Pilze beschrieben (auf Französisch). Das enthaltene Inhaltsverzeichnis listet nur 126 Zeichnungen auf, die restlichen 33 sind nicht aufgeführt, aber enthalten. Bei einigen Zeichnungen befindet sich auf der Rückseite ein Hinweis, der den natürlichen Lebensraum der Pilze beschreibt und weitere botanische Informationen liefert.
Es werden u.a. Pilze aus folgenden Familien auf beschrieben: Agaricus, Boletaceae, Morchellaceae, Clavaria, Lycoperdon, Hypophillum, Amanita, Hydnum, Peziza.
Einband etwas berieben und etwas bestoßen, die Zeichnungen selbst in sehr gutem Zustand.
Außergewöhnliche Sammlung wunderschön ausgeführter und wissenschaftlich korrekter botanischer Zeichnungen aus der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Hergestellt, mit geringfügigen Abweichungen, nach Illustrationen eines der renommiertesten französischen Botaniker – Pierre Buillard, und möglicherweise auch nach anderen Quellen.

Sur les 159 dessins, les dessins 1 à 127 sont, à quelques exceptions près, tous décrits sous le dessin avec les noms scientifiques et communs des champignons (en français). La table des matières incluse ne répertorie que 126 dessins, les 33 autres ne sont pas répertoriés, mais ils sont inclus – la table des matières reste inachevée. Pour certains dessins, il y a une note au verso décrivant l’habitat naturel des champignons et fournissant d’autres informations botaniques.
Il répertorie les champignons des familles suivantes : Agaricus, Boletaceae, Morchellaceae, Clavaria, Lycoperdon, Hypophillum, Amanita, Hydnum, Peziza.
Les couvertures un peu frottées et émoussées, les dessins eux-mêmes en très bon état.
Grande collection de dessins botaniques magnifiquement exécutés et scientifiquement précis de la première moitié du XIXe siècle. Réalisé, avec de légères variations, d’après des illustrations de l’un des botanistes français les plus renommés – Pierre Buillard, et peut-être également d’après d’autres sources.
